I bought a tripod and learned a bit more about astrophotography before the next trip. This time I went to Pichilemu, Chile where the light pollution was still somewhat strong:

And finally, after realizing I probably wouldn't get a chance to take solid star photos again for quite a while, I studied up before my final trip and took the best photos yet in Jujuy, Argentina.
